accidents

So the other day I bought this blouse at Marshalls.  I definitely wouldn't consider myself 'boho' but I liked the colors and fit, and it was on sale so it was an economical departure from my usual.  The one I tried on had a spot where the embroidery was kind of wonky though, so I swapped it for another of the same size and checked out.  Whoops.  When I got home and put it on, it fit nothing like the one I wore in the fitting room.  It was about two inches shorter, everywhere.  I made it back to Marshalls a few days later, and compared the longer shirt I tried on to discover that it was the 'oops' in the batch of smalls, but it was an 'oops' with which I was okay.  Sadly, the shorter one is in these pictures, but at least not in my closet.

Speaking of 'oops'... Husband and I moved to St. Louis temporarily so we could sort out the final details of getting to Chicago, because we've wanted to move there since getting married in 2012.  He got his law degree, and is licensed to practice in Illinois and Indiana (Because just getting through law school isn't enough, there is a rigorous biannual, two day exam for each state in which you'd like to practice... Yeah law school!)  So he can't be a lawyer in Missouri, where we currently reside.  He did however, get a job at a local firm as an administrative and research assistant.  The firm he works for is really cool, and understands he may need to travel for interviews and that he's a temporary solution to their administrative needs.  Or at least that was the plan.  He really likes them, and they like him, and a position as an attorney is becoming more of a possibility.  So, we might accidentally be staying in St. Louis.  More to come on that front.
