Last weekend we were in Chicago, and this week was a whirlwind between after work commitments and planning a big event for my team at work. So I was excited for a chill weekend at home and cooking dinner for my mom to celebrate Mother's day.

She love veggies, so I went with an arugula, beet, citrus, avocado, pistachio, and goat cheese salad, steak (not pictures cause steak's not pretty), and husband's homemade bread.
I also made Girl & the Goat, Stephanie Izard's sauteed cauliflower. It's SO good, I highly recommend making it, even though there's quite a few steps involved to make the peppers and the compound butter.
We ate at Girl & the Goat while in Chicago (among many more restaurants...), so this cauliflower was fresh in my mind. I think it might be my favorite item on the menu, and I've probably tried half the dishes. I would highly recommend making a reservation if you have plans to be in Chicago. It's in my top five restaurants for sure.
I wore this on a chilly morning- the layers were perfect. This sweater is a really nice lightweight cashmere. It breathes really well and is so soft. I've worn it probably 4 times since getting it a few weeks ago. Also the price! $100 for a cashmere sweater of this quality can't be beat.
