about me

I live in St. Louis, Missouri and by day I work in Data & Analytics.  I love my husband and dog, cooking, eating, adventures, backpacking, indoor rock climbing, and bubble baths.  I started a fashion instagram in 2012, and eventually a blog in 2013.  While Sincerely Jenna Marie began as a shopping and style blog, it has evolved into more of a lifestyle blog.  In addition to outfit posts, I also cover lifestyle, food, interior decor, and career content, because that's where my interest lie now.

blog monetization and affiliate links

Sincerely Jenna Marie is a monetized blog, but I certainly won't be quitting my day job anytime soon.  I utilize affiliate marketing and sponsored posts.  Sincerely Jenna Marie also occasionally receives vendor/ brand sponsorships for mentioning specific products and services.

Affiliate marketing means that I earn money for driving traffic to certain vendors' sites.  In some instances, I make money when you click a link (about 5¢ if you're interested).  Alternatively, other links I use generate a commission if you purchase from the vendor to which I linked (those rates range typically from 3%-15%).  And some links are just links.  I share stuff I like because I like it, not just based on the potential income.  Let's face it, I will likely never earn enough to pay for my shopping habit, so why sacrifice my integrity to try.   

I also do sponsored posts on occasion, which means I either write a post on a particular topic requested by a PR Agency (or sometimes the company directly) or received an item for review (sometimes accompanied by payment).  Any items marked 'c/o' were gifted to me, however I only share products or companies that I like, not just because they were offered to me.  When I get paid to write a certain style of post, I'll tell you.  I never accept pre-written content for payment because I think it's annoying when other blogs do, and defeats the purpose of a blog.
