Good morning ladies! Today Conni, from Art in the Find, and I are styling plaid blazers. We 'met' via a blogging linkup, and I've since been obsessed with her stlyle! (As evidenced by this post...) Make sure and head over to her blog to see the rest of the outfit. (Hint: there's an adorable blouse AND sweater underneath that scarf you need to see!)
As for my approach to the plaid blazer, I went with pattern mixing. Since blackwatch plaid is so subtle, I thought it would be fun to punch it up a little with a patterned pullover in a similar palette. I tossed on some lightwash jeans, since everything else in the outfit was dark, and finished it off with neutral accessories and a red lip.
Blazer: The Limited- old (similar) // Sweatshirt: J.Crew (similar) // Blouse: J.Crew {also seen here} // Jeans: J.Crew Factory {last seen here} // Bag: Old Navy (similar, splurge) {also seen here} // Watch: Skagen (larger version) // Heels: Corso Como, additional colors here (splurge, steal) {also seen in this oldie, but goodie}
And because there's no such thing as too much plaid, a few more options for your enjoyment :)
Now I've got to go out and find a plaid blazer, loved both of these looks!!
