I am a self proclaimed "Insta-holic". Rarely does an outfit worn go without documentation. While I like to mix up the kind of outfit photos I feature on my feed, my favorite OOTD pictures are flatlays. Perfecting the outfit flatlay has been a gradual process, but I think I've nearly mastered it now ;) I've had a few questions about how I take my outfit layout photos, so below I've outline the arrangement, photography, and editing process I typically follow for flatlays...
I know, a little obsessive, but I like them to look just so :) I've got the editing process down so it's super speedy. If I can clarify anything better or you have any more questions, please let me know!
Happy Friday!
Thank you for this!! I must go out and buy a plank now!

I have been wanting to do this and figure I need to go to a craft store one of these days to pick up some boards. I think it will be fun to buy different colors.

Oooh, SO helpful! I always wish my Instagram layouts were more fancy like this, so it's so interesting to see how you achieve it. Thanks for the great tips!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Your pictures look so good. Natural light is so much better than indoor, too. It is dark when I leave and when I get home in the evening, so I am limited to indoor light or weekends.

I ALWAYS wonder how people take these! Thanks for sharing! (It seems pretty simple the way you describe it, but I bet I run into a zillion problems haha. I suspect it's harder than you made it look!)
