Current Closet Staples
I don't know about you, but I often find something I love and wear it regularly. And by regularly, I mean a lot... like borderline obsess over it and forget there are other items in my closet... and then buy multiple colors. I've definitely got a few items in my current rotation that fall into that category. So, I thought it would be fun to share to see if there's overlap with anyone else or maybe inspire you to try a new staple item, or five if you're anything like me ;)

T by Alexander Wang Tees

Why I love it: This t-shirt is perfect. The sleeves hit at the most flattering point, the material drapes beautifully, and the neckline is just the right depth. I know, it's insanely pricey for a tee, but it's totally worth it; once I got my first I was hooked. Every time I impulsively want a less expensive t-shirt, I ask myself if I'd rather put that money towards another Alexander Wang tee, and the answer is nearly always yes, so I pass and add to my overpriced t-shirt fund. Also, they just released the olive and maroon for Fall and I want them both. Oh dear.

*Note- I own the black, cobalt blue, light gray, and dark gray.
The white is more see-through than I'd like.
Everlane French Terry Sweatshirt
Here // Budget alternative here
Why I love it: This sweatshirt is the perfect lightweight layer to throw on for a Summer night, and it is so soft! It's definitely a thinner fabric than I'd typically expect for a 'sweatshirt', so it would probably look a little lumpy layered with a button-down come Fall, but right now it suits my seasonal needs perfectly. I frequently get home from work and change into this because it's just so comfortable.
Bottoms
7 For All Mankind 'Josefina' Slim Boyfriend Jean
Options here & here // Similar styles // Budget alternative here
Why I love them: These jeans are super soft, don't stretch out too much and come in every finish imaginable. They are a slim boyfriend, but the bottom opening is still tapered so it looks cute with every type of shoe. They dress up nicely with heels, or look adorable with sneakers and a t-shirt. They've also got a button fly, which I love. Oh and have I mentioned they're insanely comfortable? Well, they're insanely comfortable ;) I have the 'Regal Broken Twill' and 'Bright Light Broken Twill' (Note: I went up a size from my usual in this wash), and if I could wear destructed denim to work I would definitely want a third pair with some rips.
Current/Elliot 'The Stiletto' Skinny Jeans
Options here & here // Budget alternative here
Why I love them: The rise is just right- not too low, not too high, and they retain their shape tremendously well. The length is universally flattering, and I cannot say enough positive things about the wonders they do for rear ends. I also like that they aren't loudly branded, because that way they seem a little more versatile.

Nike Internationalists
Options here & here // Budget alternative here
Why I love them: These sneakers are the perfect combination of a classic style and modern color combo. They're just a little sleeker than a lot of the other retro sneaks out there, and they're tremendously comfy. Also, versatile; I'll toss them on with boyfriend jeans and a tee for a completely casual look, or with cuffed skinnies and a blazer for a kind of nerdy-chic appeal (IT-related graphic tee optional).

Lace-up Flats
Options here, here & here // Budget alternative here
Why I love them: Pointy toed flats have always been my favorite, so I am all about amping them up a little. I love that the lace detail takes it from basic to a little edgy and sexy. Here's to hoping this trend sticks around, because I've acquired a few pairs this season...
