rsNYFW Outfit + Linkup

Holy whirlwind weekend! (Do I start every Monday post like this? Probs.  Sorry...)  Caryl and I are currently sitting in the lobby of our hotel, semi-deliriously writing our posts for... basically right now.  I may or may not be eating a black and white cookie.  (If you happen to follow me on snapchat {roberts_jenna}, don't judge.  Calories don't count on vacation... especially when we walk a lot...)
We arrived in New York City on Saturday morning, but no joke it feels like we've been here a week with how much we've squeezed in.  I'll give more details on everything over the course of this week, but I thought it would be fun to share the outfit I wore to the RewardStyle Fashion Week Rooftop party first.
I spent forever (or like a couple hours over like two weeks...) trying to find something online to wear to the event.  I ended up ordering two dresses from ASOS, and while I liked both, neither quite satisfied my hope of finding something both perfect for the occasion and sufficiently 'me'.  Totes cliche, yeah, but I'm actually a kind of picky shopper.  Shocking, I know.
Dress option 1- I was bugged by the darker color and it was a little tight through my hips.
Dress option 2- love the cut of the bottom but the shoulders felt a little broad and the print was... crazy.

Ultimately I wore a dress, shoes, and handbag I already had and just added the new Kendra Scott necklace and bracelet I received at their open house on Saturday to make it feel more exciting (...or new, because new=exciting #shopaholic). Overall I was really pleased with my outfit, and that my shoes were comfortable, because there was a lot of standing at the party.  PS- Thanks Caryl for taking my photos!

  7. Sometimes it's nice to wear an old standby, especially when it's as stunning as this dress! I would never have expected it to be from F21. It looks ultra chic -- and expensive!

  11. I love the dress you ended up going with--sometimes it's better to just wear something you already love. Perfect jewelry accents too. Sounds like a fun time, and no judgement here about the "breakfast" cookie!
