Cargo Pants + Hello Monday Linkup

I've been hunting for a good pair of relaxed olive cargo pants for awhile now, so when I stumbled upon these a couple weekends ago, I was very excited!  The first couple times I wore them, I kept it pretty casual, but I like to make sure and mix in a girly detail or two so the look doesn't go too masculine.  

Last time I added these satin ankle-tie flats to contrast the utilitarian vibe of the pants. 

This time I wore them, I decided to really go wild and pair all the ruffles and leopard with them.  I think I dig it.

Floral Bomber + Hello Monday Linkup

Good morning friends!

I have company visiting this weekend, so I shall be brief.

Over the weekend, I wore this floral bomber, from my friends over at STL Mix & Match, to the City Museum and for Clementine's Creamery ice cream.  I discovered STL Mix & Match a little over a year ago, and I'm so excited to share that they're opening their first store front in March!

How I Organize My Shoes + Hello Monday Linkup

When we moved in October, one of my first orders of business was to order new shoe racks.  My collection had outgrown my old rack, and it didn't work well for anything but heels (and those make up a very small portion of my selection).  

I ultimately settled on these racks from Amazon.  They're under $40 each, got excellent reviews, were easy to assemble, and hold a LOT of shoes.  They're not the best for 4.5" heels or taller shaft booties, but they're fantastic for flats and sneakers, i.e. the majority of my shoes.

I keep my shoes organized by style, and then color.  I reserved the top shelf for my most utilized bags, also arranged by color.

Weekend Wear

The combo of tunic + leggings is my weekend jam.  Add in temperate weather in February and a Starbucks strawberry açai refresher (light ice), and I'm one happy camper.

All Tied Up + Hello Monday Linkup

You guys, these shoes.  I'm currently saving my shoe pennies for a pair of Gucci loafers, so every time I see a pair of shoes I think I need, I ask myself if I'd rather add those dollars to my loafer fund.  If the answer is yes, which is typically the case, then I pass up that new pair and transfer the money to my Paypal account.  However, I needed these shoes.

The color, raw silk texture, and gorgeous silhouette was just irresistible.  The internet indicates they run small, however my standard size was perfect.  They also come in a bunch more colors- black, hot pink, nude, and an orange floral pattern.
