Over the weekend, E and I ventured to my hometown of St. Louis to celebrate my mom's birthday. We spent a few days in the actual city, and then ventured out to my parents' weekend retreat in the country. Like, country-country: dirt road/no internet/or neighbors/or grocery store/or cellphone service country. Which means quality bonding time with my mountain man, gun-toting father. Can I just mention that I shot better than my dad and husband? Must be the statement necklace...
