Um, hello beautiful shoes. Sometimes I like to let one element of an outfit do all the heavy lifting, like a fabulous pair of metallic brocade loafers with a golden heel. Who needs a statement necklace or wrist full of baubles when brocade, metallic, and gold are appropriate adjectives for your kicks? I certainly don't. I stumbled upon these pretties on Amazon (basically my favorite place, well almost, #iloveNordstrom) and despite my goal to not buy shoes the whole month of June, I caved. I had my eye on a very pretty, very similar pair of loafers at J.Crew, but they sold out of my size before they ever went on sale... and $168 for a pair of very distinct loafers sets off my reaonsable-o-meter. (maybe they'd be worth it if they had a gold heel...) But a veryy similar style at 80% off, I couldn't pass up. Shame on me.
