awaiting floral sweatshirt: in yellow and navy... J.Crew had a stellar one day sale, and I had a moment of weakness. I'm going to be in Louisville Saturday so I figure I can return one... or just keep both if they're awesome.
loving color block sandals: Remember how I wasn't going to buy any shoes this month? These babies are testing my self control, especially since Sherlock ate (literally...) a nice sandal on Sunday. I can't decide which color I would pick, so maybe that's why I don't need them... At half off how am I supposed to pass them up though?
wearing china glaze 'sex on the beach': haha, so funny story, my MIL put this nail polish in my stocking, but was super apologetic because the name was 'inappropriate' and she said she almost didn't include it. I'm glad she did, because it's a gorgeous color and I get a chuckle every time I see it and think of how she's so cute and considerate.
drinking aloe water: On Saturday I went to my favorite place in the entire world, the Asian market. I can't leave an Asian market without a bottle of aloe water, a pack of hi-chews, and some 'sweet potato flavor snack'. (Asian snacks have the best names.) The aloe water was the only thing that lasted more than an hour, probably because I bought a liter of it. If you've never had it, you at least need to try it once. It's sweet and smooth, with little juicy bits of aloe. It's kind of fantastic.
working on branding, seo, and unit testing: I'm a nosy blog reader. When I find a blog I like, I want to know about the writer beyond their favorite stores to shop, like what they do, where they're from, etc. So I'm going to tell you about my current projects :) I work for a small company, so I do a lot of everything. Right now I'm overhauling our branding and creating a comprehensive style guide, and then redesigning and sourcing everything with our logo on it based upon those standards. I'm loving it. I'm also working on improving our organic search engine rankings. What that means, in non-nerdy lingo, is ensuring our website comes up in Google's search results (not the silly side column or top row ads) whenever someone searches relevant keywords. There are all kind of little tweaks to make on a website to improve how Google 'crawls' your site, thereby making it show up in search results more often, and on the first page. Finally, I'm working on unit testing, which is fancy lingo for trying to break a mobile app before it hits the App Store. I work closely with our developer to establish requirements for our mobile apps, so I also get to test said requirements once the app is ready. I'm really good at breaking mobile apps. So this process usually lasts awhile.
enjoying mini dipped cones: How cute are these?! I'm obsessed. They're everything I need in a dessert, and the mini size means automatic portion control. They just need to come in bigger packs ;)
