the ombré dress

At church every week, I help teach the 4 year olds' Sunday School class.  Four year olds are quite the conversationalists I've discovered.  Yesterday, when my hair was as pictured above, I participated in
what may be my favorite dialogue ever.
kid: is your hair made of metal?
me: nope.
kid: what's your hair made of?
me: the same thing as yours...
kid {grabbing at my hair}: no it's not.
Sigh.
In other news, this dress arriving last Friday made my day.  The fabric is even prettier in person, and it's surprisingly versatile.  I immediately put it on, tied a gray sweatshirt around my waist, and put on some casual leather slip-ons to run a few errands.  It was also adorable paired with a denim jacket or blazer and flats, and come cooler temps I have plans to wear it with black booties and a cardigan.  Basically, the options are endless.  And it has pockets.
