Faux fur and infinity scarves... two trends I thought were dumb when they first came out. So maybe I'm a late adopter, but I would officially call myself a fan of both. Although I willingly embrace all infinity scarves, I'm still pretty choosy when it comes to faux fur. It took me a few seasons to find a faux fur vest that A) wasn't $200 (or really like over $50...) B) unflattering or C) a weird color; this one fit the bill. So I'm wearing it a lot to make up for the seasons I went without it ;)
Unrelated to my occasional late trend adoption... the other night I had the opportunity to teach a class on shopping and styling to a group of nearly 60 women, and aside from being slightly terrifying, it was a really fun opportunity. It reminded me why I love fashion, and all the little tidbits of information I picked up over years of working retail. So, I'm going to start doing more informational posts as well as just outfit photos, basically to provide a lot of the WHYs in addition to just the WHATs behind the things I wear and buy (and because I promised the fabulous ladies who joined me that all the information I shared and then some would be on my blog in coming weeks). If you have any kind of fashion questions, I'd love to address them so leave a comment or shoot me an email!
PS- The Toms for Target line launched yesterday in-stores and online. I missed out, but I'm hoping my store has some goodies left, like this scarf or wrap. Have you checked it out yet?!
