Madewell Denim & Linkup

Shirt: Saint James x J.Crew  //  Jeans: Madewell or Nordstrom  //  Necklace: Madewell  //  Sandals: Teva (here or here)  //  Tote: Nordstrom  //  Ring: Nordstrom Rack

On a day off last week, I went to the ritzy mall in town I never shop at to do a J.Crew return, and discovered that St. Louis has a Madewell.  I've heard such positive things regarding their denim, so I figured there was no harm in stopping in to try a pair or two on just to see out what the hype was all about.  Fast forward twenty minutes and a few super helpful sales associates later, and I left with two pairs of jeans and a necklace.  Whoops.  I'm not 100% keeping the dark wash high waisted pair I took home with me, (I somehow overlooked that they have gold stitching which I don't care for, the fit was just so perfect) but I couldn't wait to pop the tags on this pair and break them in.  I love the funky wash, and they seriously couldn't be more comfortable.  I wore them for over 12 straight hours without them stretching or bagging.  My only beef is that the front pockets are basically nonexistent, but with 30% off and $20 off for donating a pair of old jeans, I could easily get past that issue.  I'd definitely rank Madewell denim up with my favorite other premium brands that run around $150-$200 a pair, so for around $100 a pair, these are such a great value.  I look forward to adding more to my denim collection over time.
