What I'm... Wednesday

Watching The Crazy Ones... I take Netflix's "Top Picks for Jenna" pretty seriously, and since this show popped up in the first slot I watched it.  All of it...  the whole season in just a couple days.  In my defense, the episodes are like 20 minutes, so binge watching a few in one sitting is tremendously easy.  The show is about an advertising agency ran by a quirky father-daughter duo, Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and their crazy approach to winning over clients and life in general.  Given that the other show I'm 'flixing is Grey's Anatomy, The Crazy Ones provided a very pleasant comic relief.

Excited about my new job... So back in February, I interviewed for a job I realllllly wanted.  After waiting over a month and a half to get rejected, I heard back from one of the individuals that interviewed me, wondering if I was interested in another position within the company.  Absolutely!  So a couple weeks ago, I went in for another interview for a position for which I felt in no way qualified.  The interview went accordingly, think totally floundering trying to write code on a whiteboard in front of a bunch of strangers.  It was rough.  So, to my pleasant surprise, I got a call back less than a week later making me an offer!  Basically the best phone call ever.  I'll be a B2B Integrations Associate Developer, ask me what that means in a few months and maybe I can tell you.  I'm stoked to be back at a "9-5 desk job", but a little nervous because while they plan to teach me everything I need to know, I currently know.... nothing.

Living in my metallic Tevas... So these were one of those items that I saw and had to have.  I know, kind of ugly, but never did I think my love of the outdoors and all things metallic could be combined in shoes (yet another one of my favorite things...).  Therefore, basically a necessity.  They're super comfortable, and go with a surprising amount of outfits.  Heads up, I did go down a size and they're also available at Amazon.

Making outfits around this $10 necklace...  Every now and again I browse Forever 21's website and find something that I love.  This necklace is definitely one of those items, except I didn't want anything else, so wait for it... I paid shipping.  And since Forever 21 is about as good at shipping crap as they are being a sustainable company, I feel like I've been waiting a decade which has given me plenty of time to decide how I'm going to wear it.  I've got big plans to wear it with this little red t-shirt dress, with a maxi skirt and chambray knotted at the waist, and just a plain ol' black v'neck t-shirt.

Trying out Arbonne Sheer Glow Highlighter... I have a powder highlighter I usually use, but this cream one fascinated me, so I'm giving it a go.  So far I love it.  After my CC cream, I dab a little on the top of my cheekbones and blend with a sponge, then follow up with blush.  It adds a subtle glimmer and a pretty dewiness that lasts all day.  I'm excited to try it when doing full contouring.

Listening to the radio...  Okay, so I realize that sounds weird, right?  But for the last five or so years I have had the same three CDs in my car, The Hush Sound, Coldplay, and a mix of breakup jams... if you were wondering, and I haven't ever turned on the radio.  In an effort to mix it up a little, I went through and actually set a few radio stations, and I feel so hip.  Actually, I'm just really tired of Taylor Swift's "Style", Maroon 5's "Sugar", Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk", and One Direction.  Just all of One Direction...

What I'm doing right now... Watching Grey's Anatomy, eating Trader Joe's corn nuts for breakfast, and puppy cuddles.  Lots of puppy cuddles.
