Chicago Brunch Outfit

Jacket: H&M size up 2-3 sizes  //  Sweatshirt: Everlane - obsessed!  //  Pants: Old Navy  //  Sandals: Teva  //  Bag: Nordstrom - similar bargain  //  Glasses: Firmoo c/o

When I stepped back from blogging for a couple months, I kind of loved not fussing as much about my hair and makeup.  I'm a generally low-maintenance person, but when I'm regularly snapping blog photos, I tend to feel obligated to primp more.  For the most part since resuming however, I've continued the trend of a simpler beauty routine, and sometimes allowed that to reflect in my blog photos.  Today's post is definitely an example of this.  I wore this on my last day in Chicago, and basically rolled out of bed, slicked on some lipgloss, and headed to brunch.

Previously, these photos wouldn't have made the blog, except I'm trying to keep things real, and this messy hair and glasses is a pretty accurate peek at what I look like on any given morning.  So yeah, my sandals are a little dorky, my hair a bit unkept, and the bags under my eyes very.. baggy, but this is me :)

Also, I spied approximately nobody in Chicago wearing pants like this... Am I officially an outdated Midwesterner who doesn't know what's hip?  Guh.

  8. With hair like yours you don't need much primping and priming! Btw Scandal on Netflix? You lucky Americans. The show is only on TV here in Norway and I'm totally obsessed. Though Huck needs to calm down a bit, I'd say...

    1. Thanks so much! Hahahah and I agree about Huck, he's a littttttle intense sometimes, but that's part of what makes the show so addictive, right?! All the characters are so crazy. And while I've not tried it, rumor has it you can change your Netflix country with some tricky internet setting choices, not sure if it's worth the effort, but season 4 is pretty great ;)
