I Wish Dogs Could Text

Oh heyyy Wednesday!  I feel like this week is flying by, no?  I'm totally stoked it's already halfway over, because like I mentioned yesterday, I'm headed to Chicago this weekend.  Minus the fact that I basically cry every time I leave my puppy (seriously someone needs to invent a way to text your dog), I'm SO excited.  I'll be spending most of the time with my college best friend, and cannot wait to catch up.  We're the kind of friends that don't stay in great touch, but as soon as we reunite it's like no time passed at all.  And we usually tear up.  It's kind of precious.    I also have a blogger/instagrammer meet-up to attend on Saturday a few hours and I'm excited, but totally nervous.  Silly, I know, but I'm an introverted person when it comes to big groups and somehow them knowing my "social media self" first kind of freaks me out.  My instagram and blog are basically my fashion highlight reel.  So, I feel like there's a lot of pressure to look perfect and be just as charming as the pretty picture instagram paints.  Who wants to walk around holding the most flattering filter in front of me and touch up my powder when I start to shine?  Shucks.  I tried ;)  I'm sure a few other ladies have felt the same thing, and I'm going to do my best not to let my nerves and general reserved nature interfere with having an awesome time.  Any tips for mingling with huge groups of people you don't know?
