A Day in the Life + Hello Monday Linkup

Today I thought it would be fun to share a peek at what my "average" day looks like, including what I wear, work on, and eat.  On this given day, I had work, plans to meet a girlfriend for tapas, and the usual blogging tasks to do.  Since my office is pretty casual, I don't like to get too fancy for work.  A cardigan, dark jeans, and these super chic, yet comfortable heels were the perfect combo for the office, and all I needed to do was slip on a funky top and different jacket to be ready for tapas.

5:15am || alarm sounds, hit snooze

5:30am || wake up, cuddle with Sherlock, check email and social media channels, collect Clash of Clans loot

6:00am || shower, do hair and makeup, probably more social media...

6:40am || pick out what to wear.  Decide I don't like it and change

6:50am || locate car keys, computer charger, and office badge, one of which is inevitably misplaced

6:55am || head into work. Spend the commute listening to podcasts, Snapchatting (I sit in a lot of traffic) and eating food that probably isn't intended for breakfast, ie. string cheese, bean burritos, plantain chips, chicken tenders, soft pretzels, and so forth...

7:30am || arrive at the office, check work email, read The Skimm

7:45am || publish my morning Instagram post

8:00-noon || work on projects, go to meetings, and other exhilarating work things

noon || walk to Subway for lunch because my Fitbit owns me (I do change into my fav sneakers). Order the blandest possible item on the menu- 6" turkey on wheat with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. If I'm feeling adventurous I'll add chipotle Southwest sauce, I'm usually not though

1:00pm || think about how I would really like to take a nap

1:30-3:00pm || more projects, emails, meetings, probably fix something that broke, and break something else

3:00pm  || go for a walk around campus or play feather kicker (Chinese hacky sack) with coworkers or very possibly buy a pair of shoes online

3:30-4:30pm || final emails, wrap up projects, leave co-workers colorful sticky notes

4:30pm || change tops and leave the office

5:00pm || meet up with girlfriend for tapas

5:15pm || consume muchos tapas

cripsy fried artichokes with Romesco sauce topped with Manchgo cheese, baked goat cheese with puttanesca sauce and toasted French bread, and flatbread topped with fig preserves, gorgonzola, and pancetta.  All SO good.

6:30pm || grab a few groceries on the way home

7:15pm || finally see husband, make him a sandwich so he doesn't eat cereal for dinner

7:16pm || take off my bra and pants, because priorities

8:00pm || instagram post, reply to comments and such

8:15pm || take Sherlock on a walk

9:00pm || watch Netflix- Blacklist right now, edit blog pictures, write tomorrow's blog post, cuddle with puppy

Midnight || go to bed... eventually

So that's that!  Can't say my days are crazy exciting, but they keep me busy enough :)
