I've decided our first child (with which I am definitely not yet impregnated) will be named Serenity.
Just kidding.
That would be mean.
No offense if you have kids with statistically uncommon names. Or just downright weird ones.
But I will laugh out loud if my future children attend school with any Serenitys or better yet, Rose Quartzs.
For 2016, Pantone deemed the duo of serenity and rose quartz the color of the year. While rose quartz is a litttttle pink for me (although I did totally cave and get this bag because it's beautiful and barely pink and I love all things Vince...) I am all about the shade serenity, except it's got a stupid name. I'm not sure about you guys, but despite my knowing the name of every Crayola crayon in the 64-pack, even distinguishing between orange red and red orange, I had no idea what shade serenity was when Pantone made the announcement.
Well turns out serenity is basically just a subtle gray blue, almost periwinkle shade; basically the color of my purse. Long story short, I really like it, and it seems to play well with all the other colors. One of the reasons I bough this scarf was because it incorporates serenity, really small touches of rose quartz, olive, and navy, and somehow matches everything. It was also $13 which makes me like it more too.

Anyways... Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did :) On Friday we went to the Cardinals game and had crazy good seats courtesy of husband's work; the cards hit 6 home runs, SIX. It was such a great game, the crazy delicious tater tot nachos didn't hurt either ;)
Then, Saturday I went to a really fun girl's night involving a lot of Southern food and laughter. I made Ina Garten's jalapeƱo cheddar cornbread, which I may or may not have eaten for breakfast on Sunday.
In other exciting news... I've been STALKING these sandals awaiting a restock of sizes in the olive green, and they just did! I immediately ordered them and cannot wait for them to arrive. The olive color is SO perfect and I'm convinced will go with everything. If olive is your jam too, hurry and snag a pair while your size is available!!
