My New Favorite Leggings (on sale!) + Hello Monday Linkup

Happy Cyber Monday!  I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and weekend!

We had a really low-key Thanksgiving, and it was perfect.  Then Friday I got nearly all my Christmas shopping done online, after going out shopping bright and early with Caryl.  

I actually didn't get a ton for myself out shopping (I had already ordered plenty...) but I did pick up this mid-weight parka.  I've been wanting a longer length jacket that isn't as heavy duty as my Pajar, and this fit the bill and didn't break the budget.

I snagged this scarf out Black Friday shopping too.  Beyond that I actually just got the husband a bunch of clothes and computer parts. Yup, it was super exciting 😉.

Speaking of online purchases, I couldn't pass up ordering a few more colors of these leggings at 20% off, because they are THE BEST and never on sale.  I'm still a big fan of  Zella leggings, but these have pockets! I love that they're a matte finish, have flattering seaming, and have a high waist that really keep everything taunt.

Also, THESE SHOES.  

When I first slipped them on, I couldn't get over how unbelievably comfortable and light they are!  Plus the color.  Olive is my favorite, and the pops of yellow are total perfection.

Shopbop Sale Picks

Is it too soon to start Christmas shopping for myself?  Because I may or may not have ordered these sneakers yesterday (because I got an email reminder you can get an extra 25% off with 'EXTRA25' and I am a marketer's dream)...

Oh, and before I finished writing this post I ordered from Express, because 50% off your whole purchase and free shipping on every order, say what?!  I snagged a bunch of socks for the husband, this convertible neck cozy top (in olive, because olive💚).  I have a dress in the same fabric too, and I seriously want to live in it.  At the Shane Co holiday party, everyone wanted to feel my dress, HA!  I also took a chance on this funky jacket.  I'm hoping it plays well with leggings and booties, for a super cozy look.  Or I'll feel like a sheep.  Or bathmat.  We'll see.

And speaking of sales, it's time for one of my favorites!  Shopbop's buy more save more 🎉

And I am certainly taking advantage of the latest Shopbop sale to get some additional shopping for family and myself 🙈done.

My first priority is another color in this scarf.  I have the emerald from last year, and a really similar navy one, and I wear one nearly every single day.   It's really large, so it easily doubles as a wrap or even blanket, but it drapes really nicely as a scarf too.

I thought I wanted gray, but Caryl may have me convinced I need the wine instead.  Gray or wine?!

And no, I definitely can't get both lol.

There are so many other great items included too!  I can't get enough of my Vince slip-ons or Golden Goose sneakers I got earlier this year.  Both are splurges, but I'd rather get one quality pair and pass over the next couple temptations.  Plus, I snagged both during similar sales earlier this year.  I also love Current/Elliot denim (seriously the best).  This faux fur vest is similar to one I tried on at a boutique a little earlier this season and am still thinking about, le sigh.  Maybe I need to return for it... or just order this one on sale and have it delivered to my porch #lazy.   Also, suede booties.  If you asked me a few seasons ago, I'd scoff at suede, I was alllll about the polished leather, but suede is just so supple and comfortable, I am very much a convert!

Finally, can't pass up repping my favorite handbag brand included in the sale- Rebecca Minkoff.  I'm enamored with so many of the new handbags for Winter.  How luxurious is that velvet envelope clutch?!  I think Rebecca Minkoff provides the perfect balance of style, quality, and affordability.  Her bags easily make up the majority of my collection, and I'm not mad about it 😉

Tunic + Leggings and Hello Monday Linkup

How is it almost Thanksgiving?!  My inbox is already being bombarded with pre-Black Fiiday sales (since when was this a thing?!) and yet until just this weekend, it's been 70+ degrees every day.

This year we're having a pretty low-key Thanksgiving, so while I haven't picked out my outfit definitively, a tunic + leggings is a given. I especially love the combination of the curved hem in the front and the longer length in the back

Lace-up Tee + Hello Monday Linkup

When I'm uncertain about a trend, I like to buy an affordable 'trial' version first.  It took me a bit to warm up to the lace-up trend, but when I discovered this tee at Old Navy I decided to give it a go.

I'm not sure if I'll upgrade anytime soon, as I'm quite satisfied with my budget rendition.  It comes in a few more colors, including a gorgeous wine color.  I did find that it ran a little small, particularly in the arms.  I went for the medium and the arms were snug, which isn't standard.

Also, these shoes.  They took no break-in time at all, and also come in a plum and hunter green.  I think I may need the hunter green <3

All the Neutrals + Hello Monday Linkup

At work, my team tackles projects in two-week increments and we use an online tool to manage and add colored tags to the sub-projects.  So, every two weeks we have to create a new tag and pick a new color.  It has become my task to select said colors.  I've already used most of Pantone's Fall colors, so I've resorted to using a handy iPhone app that generates the color hexcode from a certain pixel of a photo.  Last week we ended up with a sea green color a la my coworker's polo.  While picking that color, I laughed saying all I seem to wear is gray, to which my pastel-polo wearing compatriot very promptly replied 'yes'.
