So, funny story. Naturalizer reached out to Caryl and I, separately, to see if we'd like to pick a shoe from their new Spring collection to style. There are some super cute pairs in the new line, so it was a hard decision narrowing it down to just one. I ultimately selected the gold leather loafers, because I can't pass up gold or loafers.
A few days later, I was watching Caryl's snapchat and saw that she picked the same pair! Immediately I knew we needed to share how we styled them on a Monday linkup.

Not only are they insanely comfortable, but the timing of their arrival couldn't have been better. Work has been a roller coaster these last couple weeks, and when I didn't think it could get more stressful, my manager announced he was leaving the company. That was a rough day at work- he was a superb manager, advocate, and friend. While new shoes will by no means fix my professional challenges, getting home from work that day to a package with pretty new shoes helped end the day on a better note.
Speaking of work, I'm inheriting a few new responsibilities, which is both exciting and scary. I'll be in a lot more meetings, and as a result, I'm trying to dress a little nicer. In IT, jeans and t-shirts are pretty standard, and I have gotten quite comfortable with that. However, I feel kind of silly in a Nike sweatshirt sitting in a room full of people 10+ years my senior, expecting to be taken seriously. So stay tuned for a few more polished looks ;)
