When we moved in October, one of my first orders of business was to order new shoe racks. My collection had outgrown my old rack, and it didn't work well for anything but heels (and those make up a very small portion of my selection).
I ultimately settled on these racks from Amazon. They're under $40 each, got excellent reviews, were easy to assemble, and hold a LOT of shoes. They're not the best for 4.5" heels or taller shaft booties, but they're fantastic for flats and sneakers, i.e. the majority of my shoes.
I keep my shoes organized by style, and then color. I reserved the top shelf for my most utilized bags, also arranged by color.
I keep my tall boots, with sand filled disposable water bottles keeping the shafts upright, in my closet, as well as most of my booties. I only keep my go-to booties and a few with particularly low shafts out on the racks.
Soon I'd like to shoot more pictures during daylight, and share my whole closet room :)

Girl. That is a serious shoe collection! I love those racks. I have mine in my closet, and then my boots on a bookshelf in my bedroom. The tallest ones are on the floor. Like the OTK styles - what do you do with those? They drive me nuts.
ReplyDeleteJo-Lynne, I saw your comment and wanted to share what I do with my OTK boots (and regular boots for that matter). I purchase pool noodles from Dollar Tree and and cut them to size for each pair of my boots. They work wonderfully.
