Hello blog friends!
I can finally let the cat out of the bag- I'm starting a new job soon! It's been in the works for a couple months, so it's very exciting to finally be able to chat about it. I'm transitioning from integrations to data & analytics. I'm also switching to a real business casual environment. My current gig describes the dress code as business casual, but flip-flops, jeans, and t-shirts are totally acceptable. While I'm partially excited, I'll miss having the option to show up in Birks and destructed boyfriend jeans π. I'll also miss my coworkers. Many of my coworkers have also become dear friends, and I will really miss seeing them on the daily.
As soon as I accepted the offer, I start shopping for a few more business casual staples (no jeans! the travesty!) I'd been eyeing this blazer at Ann Taylor, and it was an additional 50% off (and is actually an even better deal now!). So I picked up the blazer and skirt on a whim, and I actually really like them together! Plus how cute will the skirt be with maroon tights in the winter?
I also plan to wear this blazer and skirt with this supersoft wine colored tee and this pale blue sweater. I think the jacket would be super cute with skinny navy trousers too. Basically, the mix and matching options are endless π

Congratulations on the new job! Good luck with the transition. What a fabulous way to celebrate by buying a fabulous new outfit! This suit is stunning. The colors and pattern are stunning and so much fun. And those shoes! I have them in blue velvet, but now I am thinking I might need burgundy for fall as well.
