thank you

It's Friday!  Be excited.  Also exciting-ish: I'm officially out of Bloomington outfit photo stock.   So it seems an appropriate time to cover the chaotic last few weeks of life.

Starting at the beginning... I moved to Bloomington, Indiana in 2009 for my undergrad at Indiana University with absolutely no intention of staying in Indiana (no hard feelings, Hooisers).   I ended up getting a job there after graduation and sticking around (check out my 'about' section for the juicy deets).
I worked for an entrepreneurial company for about two years, but despite typically enjoying my work, we were still in Bloomington, Indiana.  Bloomington is a tremendously charming place, but I'm a city girl through and through.  So, when our lease was coming to an end, I chatted with my manager and we came to an understanding that I could work remotely while looking for a new job in Chicago.

Fast forward a few weeks from that conversation, and my manager had a change of heart.  Definitely a wrench in our plans.  So, I put in my two weeks, we packed everything up, and took off.  However, we weren't headed for Chicago.  I'm all about risk taking, but the idea of two people moving to an expensive city completely unemployed stressed me out to the extreme.  Instead, we're in my home town of St. Louis for a period; crashing with family while we figure out what we're going to do.

Which brings me to my post title, 'thank you'.  These last few weeks have been hectic, stressful, and a little discouraging.  Blogging has definitely been the high point of everything going on.  All your sweet comments, pins, and shares make me smile daily.  I haven't had as much time as I'd like to respond to all the comments, emails, and tweets, but just know that I appreciate each and every one of them.  So, thank you!  Thank you for following along, for sharing your kind thoughts, and for brightening my days.   xoxo.

  4. Girl!! If you are in St. Louis now (even if just temporary), we will definitely for sure absolutely need to have a coffee date! And perhaps some shopping. In our matching brocade leggings. Ok, maybe minus the leggings. But still!
