roadtrip casual
jeans: textile elizabeth & james (budget-friendly similar 1 & similar 2) {also seen here, here} | tee: j.crew {also seen here} | backpack: herschel {also seen here} | sandals: white mountain (also love these) | bangle: j.crew
I've had these sandals since high school, and I think it's hysterical that they're back in 'style'. They're basically my dog-pooping and late night grocery run shoes. ("dog-pooping" is a verb in this househould... "but it's your turn to poop the dog!" probably gets hollered daily...) Now I can do those activities fashionably- awesome! I'll just cross my fingers that this trend doesn't lead to birkenstocks being cool in the Fall. Birkenstocks were a huge trend at my high school, but I never caved and bought a pair, and I stand by that decision. I think they're kind of awful.
Anyhow, this is what I wore for a road trip a few weekends ago. I'm all about keeping it comfy, but presentable enough that I don't feel silly venturing into a gas station to use their bathroom and buy copious amounts of obligatory travel snacks (it's not a road trip without neon sour gummies. Gummy octopi are preferable, but worms will do...) Not that we stop at particularly classy gas stations, but somehow jeans feel a step above yoga pants or sweats.
What's your road trip uniform?
Nice and comfy!
