It's officially been a week since I started my closet remix project and I'm going strong. I started a couple days before "announcing" it on the blog so I could have some outfit photos, and to make sure I didn't have an emotional breakdown only picking from 8 pairs of shoes (although actually right now 6 because one has taken forever to ship, and one is at the cobbler). Good news- no temper tantrums here. Phew. Actually quite the contrary. While I can't vouch for my satisfaction in 5 weeks when I've worn each item multiple times, so far having only a few items I love to choose from makes getting dressed SO easy and quick. I don't have to decide between dozens of jeans, instead it's "dark or light?" and "skinny or boyfriend?" and poof, decision made. It's basically magic.
Also magic: these tights. Carylee told me about them shortly before my shopping hiatus began and they are INCREDIBLE. I just bought the black, but after wearing them a few times I want every color they make. They're super warm and very opaque, perfect for the bitter cold winter.

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting,,,
Oh, this dress / jacket / boots combo is perfect! I've been thinking a faux leather jacket would be a great thing to add to my wardrobe and now I'm really convinced - I'd default to wearing with jeans, but it's great with dresses too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the no meltdowns yet! I am not quite that strong!! Can't wait to see tall that you put together!
