Hues of Blues + Linkup

Metallic cardigan on mega sale [exact]  //  Old Navy scarf [similar]  //  Release hem skinny jeans under $15 [exact]  //  Vince leather cross body [exact on saleadditional color options]  //  Belle by Sigerson Morrison flats [this season's 'Vanessa']  //  Blue and cream printed tee under $15 [exact]

Alright, I'm not sure how this cardigan is just formally making the blog, because I'm obsessed with it.  I wear it probably once a week, and it goes with everything.

See all these italics?! It means this cardi is great, f'real ;)

As an added bonus, since it took me awhile to share this piece, it's now marked WAY down from the price I paid *hangs head in full retail paying shame*.  That being said however, I've gotten so much wear out of it, I can't even be that mad at myself for jumping on it as a new release.

Summer Sandal Picks

2 comments:
Earlier this Spring, I decided I wanted a pair of cognac wedges. [Edited to add that I ended up snagging these for 40% off! obsessed!]  So on Saturday, I filled up my interweb shopping cart with dozens of options, and at the end of my sandal 'window' shopping extravaganza, I had dozens of shoes in various online shopping carts.  Upon review, I realized none of my picks were the perfect cognac wedge.  So I closed out my tabs, to revisit the quest at a later time.

Sunday night rolled around, and because I can't just go to bed after I finish a blog post early, I ended up back online shoe browsing, only this time I found a few pairs I needed.  None of which were cognac wedges... I have been hunting for a good orange pump forever though, so this pair for 60% off was irresistible.  I also ended up with the same silhouette in the light blue speckled pattern and these because how can one pass up an Isabel Marant-inspired pair of leather sandals for under $35?!

Since that was already shoe-shopping overkill and I need to not buy anymore shoes for...awhile, I decided to round up the rest of my favorites to share today...

ONE: black flat sandals under $40! | TWO: leopard and camel heels under $70
THREE: intricate gladiator sandals | FOUR: brown wedges under $45!
SEVEN: blue lace up sandals 25% off! | EIGHT: color block leather slides under $30!

And because there were way more that just eight cute options...

Just a quick note that this fab lace top [exact style name: Endless Rose Lace Tee] by Endless Rose has been restocked in most sizes in black and white!   It's been the most clicked item I've shared on Instagram this month, which I highly approve of ;)

I find it runs a little small and went up to a size Medium.

Pictured with olive lace up sandals [exact, lower price option] and dark wash 7 for all mankind jeans.

The Striped Maxi + Hello Monday

18 comments:
As soon as this dress popped up in H&M's new arrivals, I knew it had to be mine.  I absolutely adore the colors, high neckline, and ginormous ruffle at the hem.  It also comes in a few more solid colors, which just may show up on my porch in the coming weeks.

The denim trend I swore I'd never wear

5 comments:
Cropped flares, *shakes head*.  When this denim variation cropped (yeah, I did that) up on the runway a few seasons ago, not gonna lie, I grimaced.  The horrible flared "pedal pushers" made a few cameos in my youth, and I swore I'd never wear them again.  They just looked so goofy in retrospect.  That being said, somehow the slight change in silhouette- mainly no more skinny knee- and the more retro styling made me a little more open to the idea.  The under $25 price point encouraged trying them out too.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm really digging them.  I've already worn them a handful of times, and as long as they're styled with a wedge or heel, I've been surprised by the versatility.  Another thing I've noted while styling outfits around them, is that when worn with a retro style top, it all starts to be a little too costume-y.  So rather then going retro or boho, I stuck with a pretty classic top in this outfit, and plan to follow that same rule of key in the future.

Pattern Play

No comments:
This season there are SO many fantastic patterns available, and while I'm typically a neutrals gal, I haven't been able to resist adding a few to my wardrobe.  I love how they can amp up an otherwise basic outfit, especially a patterned shoe or accessory.  I just scooped up  some chunky heeled patterned Schutz sandals (exact style called the 'Rainbow Block Heel') and have gotten a ton of wear out of them already! They serve as the perfect pop of color, and were excellent for traveling, because they went with everything and served to bring some excitement to my otherwise neutral suitcase of clothes.

The selection of patterned swimwear is especially phenomenal this season too!  Now I just need to plan a tropical getaway, because last years new swimsuit went unworn #whoops.

ONE guanabana printed bucket bag | TWO watercolor slip dress
THREE printed flutter sleeve top | FOUR embroidered Sam Edelman flats
FIVE  mixed print lace up heels SIX printed maxi skirt with pockets
SEVEN MinkPink patterned one-piece  | EIGHT lizard print tie-neck blouse

Added any fun new patterns to your wardrobe this season?

Olive + Yellow

18 comments:
Hello ladies!  I'm going to keep today brief, as I'm hastily packing for a last minute business trip.   I'm headed to Austin, and have a pretty healthy food stipend, so where should I eat?!
On Saturday I had the honor of being in the bridal party of one of my best friend's weddings, so the weekend was a whirlwind but the day could not have gone more perfectly!  Later I'll share what I wore to the wedding; the colors she chose were just gorgeous!
